In this role we are looking for someone to work in our Finance recruitment team, therefore it is essential that you can lead intelligent conversations with your clients about finance positions. We are therefore looking for candidates that have experience working in a Big 4 consultancy, a bank or other similar accounting and finance environments. If you do not have experience in accounting/finance but are still interested in working for us, we have other positions that may be suitable for you.
As an Associate Consultant you will take responsibility for:
- Generating revenue by making placements
- Identifying business opportunities by speaking to clients and candidates
- Organising and attending meetings with prospective clients
- Developing existing relationships with clients and candidates
- Sending CVs to clients, for existing roles or on a speculative basis
- Developing an understanding of the market
Business Development
- Researching news and developments affecting relevant industry sectors in order to build knowledge and credibility within the market place
- Proactively acting upon information gathered from candidates, clients and research
- Selling the services offered by Robert Walters to potential clients over the phone and during meetings (with support from more experienced consultants)
Client/Account Management
- Arranging and attending meetings with existing and new clients (with support from more experienced consultants)
- Professionally and effectively managing the recruitment process from beginning to end (with supervision from senior consultants and/or manager)
Candidate Management
- Sourcing new candidates for the business using a variety of methods, including headhunting, referrals and job boards
- Managing a portfolio of candidates by remaining in close contact with individuals actively seeking a new position and those who may be considering new roles in future
- Creating company maps/profiles for headhunting purposes
- Conducting telephone or face-to-face interviews with candidates
- Conducting specific headhunting projects as required
Requirements:
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to learn
- Passionate about working with people
- Strong understanding of finance/accounting subjects. This can come from a degree, or work experience
- The desire to be part of a team
- Comfortable presenting information to Senior Executives
