Find out all you need to know about our extensive range of training courses for recruitment consultants.

New Starter  Training and Induction

As well as a general introduction to Robert Walters and the ins-and-outs of the business, you'll learn about the fundamentals of recruitment and your specialism. Your program may consist of inspiring presentations, practical training and fun team-building activities, helping you to feel immediately at home within the organisation.

Good to Great Training

Designed to push our employees to be the best versions of themselves, our ‘good to great’ training not only focuses on the practical aspects of recruitment, such as candidate and client management, but also the soft skills like communication and relationship building. The programme also combines informative workshops and activities on topics such as well-being, ED&I and our commitments to ESG.

Senior Consultant Training

Our Senior Consultant training furthers your personal development and supports you in learning the ins-and-outs of the recruitment profession.
  • Masterclasses: To support serving both your clients and candidates better, you will learn to manage all elements of the 'recruitment funnel': from approaching potential clients and candidates, to negotiating the terms of employment. All sessions are taught in-house by Robert Walters' managing consultants, managers and directors. You will learn about practical issues such as how to use digital recruitment tools efficiently, time management, using meeting templates and communicating with clients over the phone.

  • Roundtables: Designed to further your personal development and ensure you can advise clients as an equal business partner and support candidates even better during their search, you will go deeper into your field and learn to better use your personal qualities and authenticity within your job. With the ability to incorporate both internal and external training, attention is paid to your personal pitch, collaboration, negotiation, communication skills and process evaluation.

Manager Training

Our manager training champions recruitment consultants to progress to a senior position. Taught by Robert Walters senior managers and directors that can be supplemented by external training courses, you will receive in-depth training in both recruitment and professional and personal development. During these training sessions you will develop leadership skills to help you train and mentor your own team. You will become an expert in your field and use the knowledge learnt to advise clients and candidates at a high level whilst also being able to manage your own team.

Leadership Development

During this program, you’re prepared to take on a management position. The course helps further develop your management skills with the focus on sessions from external expert trainers, complemented with that of internal training from directors. Over the duration of the course, and by applying your expert knowledge, you will aim to develop a concrete improvement proposal for the business which will be presented to your local senior management. After having completed the management development program, senior managers and associate directors can, if necessary, request additional individual coaching or training sessions at team level, to encourage the continuous improvement of their leadership skills.
