I'm coached by the best
I'm Robert Walters
Prior to joining Robert Walters, I was part of an internationally renowned consultancy, and was also experienced as a recruitment consultant at a domestic recruitment agency.
Having been at Robert Walters for nearly two years, the rigorous training program has been the greatest spur for my professional development. Robert Walters offers standardised service training for all of its consultants, detailing every procedure of an integrated end-to-end service that caters to each candidate and client. The organisation draws resources from its management teams to share case studies and field experiences with each individual consultant, translating into skills ranging from collaborating with candidates and clients, to developing new client.
Before joining Robert Walters, my recruiting experience was limited only to candidate shortlisting, and was very much a one-dimensional consultant. After joining the Robert Walters team, aside from shortlisting candidates, I am now involved in business development, having opportunities to develop new clients, visit our clients, negotiate contractual terms and many other procedures in the later stages of a recruitment process, completing my transformation into a multi-dimensional consultant.
Robert Walter’s rigorous training program drove my growth from being a single-minded consultant, with its module on business development leaving a particularly strong impression. It raised questions in me: How to develop a business? Who to develop business for? What type of client should I develop its business for? Meanwhile, being involved in an end-to-end integrated service that encompasses both candidates and clients prompted me to revaluate the workflow of a recruitment consultant and judge problems with greater insight, from perspectives of both the client and the candidate, consequently providing better service on my part.
Personally speaking, not only did the training I received at Robert Walters foster my progression professionally, it ignited greater confidence and passion for the recruitment industry in me. I am now capable of presenting bold yet comprehensive ideas to clients and candidates, providing the best solution possible in their interests, an experience I cannot claim to have had before. I am extremely grateful for the organisation and its management teams for their unwavering support, on which I have built even greater hopes for the future to come.
