When I made the leap from a boutique firm to join Robert Walters in 2016 as a consultant, I was immediately impressed by the exceptional support and unwavering commitment to learning and development. During my initial month, I underwent an intensive and structured training program that encompassed informative classroom sessions, practical on-the-job training, and invaluable guidance from my manager. 

What truly sets Robert Walters apart is its dedication to supporting the growth of its consultants. I speak from the depths of my own journey that the training and development opportunities offered by the company have had a profound impact on my career. 

Among the remarkable programs available, one stands out as a truly transformative experience for me — the simulation training. During this immersive training, I was thrust into practical scenarios that mirrored the challenges I face in my day-to-day role. It was an eye-opening experience that went beyond theory, allowing me to tackle real-world recruitment situations head-on. The training not only equipped me with invaluable skills but also left a true impact on my professional growth. 

Speaking of motivation, at Robert Walters, it extends far beyond monetary rewards. Job satisfaction, autonomy in my work, and the trust I receive from internal stakeholders, clients, and candidates are the driving forces behind my dedication. 

Experiencing the significant impact I have on candidates' lives and successfully connecting clients with the perfect candidates brings me profound satisfaction. It goes beyond an ordinary office job; it entails uplifting people's lives and creating a positive influence.

In 2023, I had the privilege of being promoted to the position of manager — a milestone that wouldn't have been possible without the company's support. Our leadership team truly understand that transitioning from an individual contributor to a managerial role requires guidance and preparation, and they provide it in abundance.

Practical training modules, offsite managers meetings, and the opportunity for knowledge sharing and inspiration have been instrumental in my journey. Through these experiences, I've not only enhanced my skillset but also formed deep connections with fellow managers who navigate similar challenges. 

One of my proudest accomplishments is having the privilege of nurturing new consultants within my team. Together, we've fostered a supportive and cooperative culture. From the fundamentals of profile searching to the art of role-playing and pitching, we've worked in harmony to get trained and set goals. This open-mindedness and willingness to share ideas have truly strengthened our team dynamic.

As I reflect on my personal growth journey, I am astounded by the positive transformations I've undergone. My journey as a recruitment consultant has been nothing short of remarkable. With each promotion, I've become more assertive and confident.
