After graduating with a Bcom in HR management, I joined one of the largest retail groups in South Africa, joining the internal HR department where I got my first hands-on experience in recruitment. Motivated by a move to Johannesburg to progress my career, I connected with a family friend who headed up Resource Solutions in South Africa and she referred me to Robert Walters.

I started off my career in Robert Walters South Africa in April 2015 as an Associate, recruiting on the HR desk. After a year, I was promoted to consultant and shifted focus to recruiting accounting professionals on the qualified finance desk. In January 2017, I became a consistent top billing performer.

Relocating had always been a major ambition of mine, and in May 2018 I got the opportunity to transfer internationally to Dublin on the qualified finance desk. In January 2019, I switched focus into Practice. In January 2020, I was promoted to Senior Consultant, where I now support qualified South Africa CA’s relocating to Ireland with the Big 4 consultancy firms. As of May 2022, I have been promoted to Manager of the Accounting & Finance team in Dublin.

Since joining Robert Walters, I have been promoted three times and gained valuable international experience by making the move to Dublin. Now as the Manager for the Accounting & Finance team, I have an opportunity to grow the team in Dublin by hiring an additional researcher for our team.

Robert Walters supported me in each new step of my career, always outlining clear goals and achievable, yet ambitious targets. I am driven, motivated and strive for the best, consistently hitting my targets.

I love the team and people I work with, which is what I enjoy most about working with Robert Walters. Every day is different in recruitment and you have to manage your own desk, which is something I really enjoy. I feel most rewarded by helping candidates make the international move to Ireland, placing them in their dream roles, helping them enhance their career journeys.

I am motivated to continuously improve and progress, hitting and exceeding my targets, remaining a top biller. However, it's the life experiences that matter most. I love to travel and experience new things! Moving internationally gave me the opportunity to meet new people and learn from new cultures and I am very grateful to Robert Walters for this opportunity.

I love Dublin, after 4 years it is now my home and I am excited for what lies ahead.
