The Robert Walters Group is delighted to announce its corporate sponsorship of the Hairy Handlebars as they embark on the ultimate journey – cycling from London to Tokyo in an effort to raise £30,000 for men’s health charity Movember and the Ian Williams Foundation.

The Hairy Handlebars

Former marine Ben Cook and professional rugby player George Cullen together form the magnificently moustached duo, the Hairy Handlebars. Close friends, Ben and George have long held a desire to explore the world on two wheels. But what seemed like a fleeting fancy has since become a mission to help stop men dying too young.

Cycling from London to Tokyo

In Spring 2019, the Hairy Handlebars will start their epic journey from Robert Walters’ London office, with the aim to reach Tokyo in time for the Rugby World Cup in October. The trip will see the ‘Mo-Bros’ ride over 6,000 miles across the largest landmass on earth, passing through 20 countries along the way.

Ben Cook said:

“It’s great to have the support of the Robert Walters Group behind us as we take on this epic challenge. The company’s commitment to giving back to local communities, coupled with their global network spanning 28 countries and huge social media presence made them a natural partner for the Hairy Handlebars.

“We’ll be partnering with the Robert Walters Group throughout our journey, starting at their London HQ in Covent Garden and finishing at their Tokyo office in Japan, and we may even have an employee or two cycling with us when our route passes by one of their office locations!”

Stephen Edwards, Chief Marketing Officer for the Group commented:

“We’re really excited to be supporting the Hairy Handlebars as they embark on this incredible adventure to raise funds for Movember and the Ian Williams Foundation.

The passion, determination and creativity of the Hairy Handlebars in their approach to fundraising reflects much of our company culture when it comes to supporting causes close to the hearts of our people. We are rallying behind Ben and George to help them achieve their fundraising goals for this worthy cause.”
