On Friday 8 July 2022 Robert Walters Group employees embarked on a global 24-challenge to walk, run, row, skip or swim the distance from our London office to Tsavo, East Kenya, to raise vital funds for the Global Angels Foundation Clean Water Project in the region.

Collectively, our people walked 6,020 miles, raising over £17,000 pounds for the Clean Water Project, where the money will be used for essential projects to help improve access to water and water sanitation, like purchasing land to install water kiosks to provide drinking water to local residents.

The Robert Walters Group has been proud partners of the Global Angels Foundation since 2017, supporting the Itinyi Valley community in East Tsavo, Kenya, through direct funding, donations and fundraising, as well as by putting ‘boots on the ground’ with eight volunteer employees travelling to Kenya each year to work on the projects being delivered.

Our partnership has enabled the community to build critical infrastructure needed for community farming and businesses to develop and thrive, helping to help build a sustainable future for the region, such as building a new classroom at the local secondary school, and investing in a community farm and mill to process crops and teach people about sustainable farming.

The Robert Walters Group is committed to playing an active role in transforming Tsavo, partnering with the Global Angels Foundation to build a model for sustainable development together with the local community.

Molly Beddingfield, Founder, Global Angels Foundation, said:

“We’re really passionate about coming alongside the people here in this community, and helping lift them out of poverty, and to do that, we need to be here long-term and build a really solid project that is a model that can be replicated right across the valley.”
