Robert Walters Group and the Global Angels Foundation have won 'Gold' and 'Bronze' titles at the 2023 Corporate Engagement Awards for our partnership and empowering the community of Tsavo, Kenya, to build a sustainable future in the face of climate change.
Nominated alongside organisations such as Macmillan, Make-A-Wish and Natwest, we’re extemely proud to have been awarded 'Gold' for ‘Best charity, NGO or NFP programme’ and 'Bronze' for ‘Most effective long-term commitment’, and we are honoured to be recognised for our dedication and impact in the non-profit sector.
Since 2017, the Robert Walters Group has partnered with the Global Angels Foundation to support the Itinyi Valley community in Tsavo, Kenya. The Global Angels’ mission is to empower disadvantaged communities around the world to create long-term transformation, and together, through our partnership with Global Angels we work with the community of Tsavo to build a sustainable future in the face of climate change.
Our partnership with the Global Angels Foundation funds key projects to provide life-giving water for drinking and agriculture, develop drought-proof farming techniques to ensure food security, and improve access to education for children and for the community to help them build successful small businesses.
The Corporate Engagement Awards honour CSR programmes, corporate sponsorships and the communication strategies around those collaborations. It has grown to be the benchmark for collaborations that have excelled and pushed the boundaries. The awards recognise companies that successfully engage their partners, support charities and work for communities in which they operate.
We are proud that our programme is built upon the core principle of working in partnership with the community, empowering them though education, training, funds and year-round support on the ground to overcome extreme poverty, poor nutrition and lack of access to clean drinking water.
In addition to our corporate donations, our people also fundraise for the initiative and each year eight employee volunteers visit Kenya to work on the project farm and other key infrastructure projects.
