Associate Consultant

Associate consultants often join us as graduates and sometimes as school-leavers but the majority have commercial experience already. Associates are responsible for managing relationships with candidates (job seekers) as well as sourcing and interviewing new candidates. You can expect to be beginning to develop client relationships and build an understanding of your niche recruitment sector. This includes making business development calls, organising client meetings and managing the recruitment process for some of your team’s accounts. Like a consultant you’ll be responsible for generating revenue by placing candidates in new roles with our clients.

Consultant

Consultants work within a team of recruiters who are specialists in their niche markets, managing the full recruitment process. You will build relationships with candidates (job seekers) in order to place them with our clients (organisations). Consultants forge relationships with new and existing clients and proactively promote the Robert Walters brand through business development and networking activities. You will also take responsibility for generating revenue by placing candidates with clients, identifying business opportunities and developing a complete understanding of their market.

Senior Consultant

Senior consultants become a prominent figure within their team, working closely with clients managing and developing relationships as well as creating new business opportunities. Senior consultants prove their worth as consultants and are consistent high achievers, acting as role models to other consultants. At this level, you’ll also start mentoring less experienced consultants within the team and may start deputising for your manager when required.

Manager

Managers use the skills they’ve developed as a high performing consultant to build, develop and lead a team. You’ll take greater responsibility at this level, managing the profitability and the business development activity of your team. Leading by example you will place candidates (job seekers) with clients (organisations) and support team members in achieving and exceeding their financial and key performance indicators. Ensuring new team members are supported, trained and placing candidates with clients within their probationary period will form a key part of your role.

Associate Director

As an Associate Director you'll now take full responsibility for the P&L of your team/s as well as setting the strategy for the business development of new and existing clients. At this level you'll also be ensuring events and marketing activity promote the business and cross sell the activity of the Group. Dealing effectively with a wide range of operational issues becomes a key part of the role, as does ensuring candidate activity is at a consistently high standard.

Director

Taking the step up to Director level means you'll be developing sales growth plans for your business and ensuring knowledge is shared with the senior management team. You will set and monitor KPI targets and negotiate contracts with clients - ensuring commercial parameters are met. Acting as an inspirational and motivational role model becomes more critical as does managing employee relations.

Managing Director

As the key figure-head for your business you will set the strategic vision for your region or country. Driving the development of new and existing disciplines and widening the scope of the business becomes critical for success. Developing the management team and succession planning to take your business into the next phase of growth, whilst managing multiple P&Ls will be a challenging but rewarding role.
